Harness brass. These beautiful medallions that date back to Ancient Rome and medieval England, were attached to the leather harness straps of carriage, work and parade horses. Believed to be used as a status symbol, a way to protect the horses from evil and simply as decoration, they have become quite the collector’s item over the centuries.
I am very excited to introduce a line of buckles made from my parent’s personal harness brass collection. Available in the fox mask, cat, rooster and medallion.
If you would like a black strap with yellow bronze or a havana strap with white bronze buckle, please indicate that on the note section at checkout. These buckles are interchangable so will work with other straps!
